Western Card Office

Care of Card

Western Cards that no longer work properly and show signs of normal wear can be brought to the Western Card office, where they may be exchanged for a complementary replacement card.

  • Evidence of normal wear includes chips in the magnetic stripe on the back of the card, splitting of the cardstock around the card's corners, or fading.
  • However, cards that show signs of abuse or neglect (such as cutting or punching holes in the card, or putting the card through a washing machine) will be subject to the $8 replacement fee.

If your card is not working in dining halls or markets, you are encouraged to bring it to the Western Card Office. If your card is not working in campus copy machines, you may contact Copy Support Services.
