April 3, 2007 -- Spring begins anew in the Viking Union Market with the debut of the Viking Grill. With an array of fresh toppings and condiments, the new grill features burgers built just the way you like them.

The bigger burgers are 1/3 pound in size, with a choice of beef or veggie patties or a grilled chicken breast. Accompanied by mouth-watering waffle fries, this $4.99 combination is a better value that can't be beat. All burgers come on a soft Kaiser roll and include your choice of either swiss or cheddar cheese. If you prefer, you may order chicken strips and waffle fries for the same reasonable price.

"The new Viking Grill is being launched in response to student requests for a heartier burger with more toppings," says Carol DuBois, Manager of Viking Union Market. She continues, "We also believe that the new format will enable our guests to move through the line faster, and at the same time, receive more personalized service."

The quicker service will give patrons more time to leisurely enjoy lunch, or get to their next destination with time to spare. In addition to combination plates, all items can also be ordered a la carte.

During the academic quarter, Viking Union Grill is open weekdays from 7:30am - 10:00am and 10:30am - 2:00pm. On weekends, the Viking Union Market, including the Grill is open from noon to 5:00pm.
