Guest Services Guide to Residential Services

Because Western Washington University's Conference Housing program strives for quality, we cater the residential services to the needs of the conference. Although hours or facilities may vary, we consistently strive to accommodate your needs and off you a pleasant stay.

Cable

Every conference building has a television located in the TV lounge. The TV is connected to cable, featuring CNN, The Discovery Channel, MTV and many more stations.

Phones

At least one touch-tone phone is located by the front desk in every building, available for use for long distance calls if the guest has a calling card or credit card. Free local calls are also available from this phone. In addition, buildings also have pay-phones within or near the building. If you would like a more private area to talk, each room has a phone jack, and we do supply a limited number of phones. If guests have a local company, modems may be used from these jacks. Phone numbers may be obtained at the front desk of the building.

Recreation and Vending Equipment

Various types of recreation equipment, such as TVs, VCRs, pool tables, and games, are available in most guest housing. In addition, every hall has vending machines for snacks, sodas and sometimes juice or tea.

Conference Service Desk

Our staff will staff the Service Desk in your hall every day. When you set up your conference, feel free to let us know which hours will be convient for you! From the desk, guests may check out pool equipment, the VCR, get information about the area, or pick up messages.

Linen

We provide bedding and towels for conferences. We do not provide these for sports camps, however, because of the adjusted rate and service contract.

Laundry

Laundry exchanges occur on the days designated by the conference planning process. Every building has laundry facilities that require the use of laundry cards, which can be purchased at the dining halls. Rates are $.75 to wash and $.75 to dry.

Our desk staff can take messages for you during desk hours (which are established by individual conferences).
